Template to parse and normalize Arista EOS VRRP interface configuration.

This template requires output of:

  • show running-config section vrrp

Both legacy and current EOS syntax are supported, including ip and ipv4 virtual addresses, IPv6 virtual addresses, priority and priority-level, and text or IETF MD5 peer authentication. Authentication credentials are not included in normalized output. The default VRRP priority is 100.

Returns a normalized list of dictionaries with these keys:

  • interface - interface name string
  • group - VRRP group number integer
  • virtual_address - virtual IPv4 or IPv6 address string
  • priority - VRRP priority integer
  • authentication_type - authentication type string or null

Example normalized output (YAML):

- interface: Vlan50
  group: 10
  virtual_address: 10.10.4.10
  priority: 200
  authentication_type: text

Template to parse and normalize Cisco IOS-XR VRRP formal configuration.

This template requires output of:

  • show running-config formal router vrrp

Configuration belonging to the same interface, address family, and VRRP group is combined by the TTP group hierarchy. The default VRRP priority of 100 is returned when priority is not explicitly configured. Text authentication credentials are not included in the normalized output.

Returns a normalized list of dictionaries with these keys:

  • interface - interface name string
  • group - VRRP group number integer
  • virtual_address - virtual IPv4 or IPv6 address string
  • priority - VRRP priority integer
  • authentication_type - authentication type string or null

Example normalized output (YAML):

Template to parse and normalize Cisco NX-OS VRRPv3 configuration.

This template requires output of:

  • show running-config vrrp

IPv4 and IPv6 address families, multiple interfaces and groups, primary addresses with or without the primary keyword, and explicit or default priorities are supported. Secondary virtual addresses are not returned. The default VRRP priority is 100. VRRPv3 does not provide authentication, so authentication_type is returned as null.

Returns a normalized list of dictionaries with these keys:

  • interface - interface name string
  • group - VRRP group number integer
  • virtual_address - primary virtual IPv4 or IPv6 address string
  • priority - VRRP priority integer
  • authentication_type - always null

Example normalized output (YAML):

- interface: Vlan20
  group: 10
  virtual_address: 20.1.1.1
  priority: 150
  authentication_type: null

Template to parse and normalize Juniper Junos VRRP configuration.

This template requires output of:

  • show configuration | display set | match vrrp-group

Statements belonging to the same interface address and VRRP group are merged. The default Junos VRRP priority of 100 is returned when priority is not explicitly configured.

Returns a normalized list of dictionaries with these keys:

  • interface - logical interface name string
  • group - VRRP group number integer
  • virtual_address - virtual IPv4 address string
  • priority - VRRP priority integer
  • authentication_type - authentication type string or null

Example normalized output (YAML):
